Magical ingredient: Lucy Rose sings backing vocals for Bombay Bicycle Club (Image: Columbia) ( Columbia ). ★★★★☆ (Columbia). Best known for bringing her floaty voice to the sound of indie boys Bombay Bicycle Club, Lucy Rose is focusing on her own career again. As well as touring with the band as a backing vocalist, she’s been their magical musical ingredient on three records. So it seems fair that Rose has borrowed their propulsive rhythms for tunes such as Köln on her second solo album.

Lucy Rose revealed in an interview with John Kennedy on XFM the title of her upcoming sophomore album, Work It Out. She also let slip the release date, set for July 13. Submitted By Étienne. Lucy told John that working on her second album was a big change from making her first record on her own: "It's hugely different. It's nice different in ways because this time we went into a recording studio, instead of being in my parents' living room trying to make a record. We could actually go into a recording studio for the first time and that was really amazing. But at the same time I did have those extra pressure that I didn't have before of making a record that the label wanted to put out and they felt was ready as well

Album: Work it Out. Artist: Lucy Rose. Genre: Pop. The opening track of Lucy Rose Parton’s second album is deceptive; if you’d never heard of the young British musician, you might peg her as just another mournful singer-songwriter. In fact, this collection of eclectic songs displays her breadth of diversity – she’s collaborated with Bombay Bicycle Club and Manic Street Preachers.

Work It Out. Second album from the English folk pop singer-songwriter produced by Rich Cooper (Mumford & Sons, Tom Odell).

Nothing specialAfter such stunning debut, like in case with "Like I Used to" by Lucy Rose, there are certain circumstances when you would not expect much for the follow-up. For me this is exactly the case here. I understood that the next album should be more poppy and accessible in order to hold the earned fan base. Some songs are better, some are worse, but overall the album is average. There nothing specifically new on the record and sometimes you can't rid of the feeling that same songs were taken from the first album and just reworked for "Wok it Out".
