E (and sometimes why) and All for Alf(run) were both composed after the initial recordings and used materials from those sessions. The Tempest, Fuggit, used some of Trio Scordatura's sounds and combined them with an absolutely awesome, over-the-top performance/reading of a section of Shakespeare's The Tempest by Michael Peters (of Poemrocket). Pogus/White Fungus Compilation.

New music ensemble based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They were formed in 2006 and have worked with Phill Niblock, the late Horatiu Radulescu, François-Bernard Mâche, Peter Adriaansz, Christopher Fox and Marc Sabat. Sites: trioscordatura.

If Bwana's double-disc E (And Sometimes Why) (Pogus, 2012) features (mostly droning) pieces composed by Margolis for the Dutch string trio Scordatura, experts in microtonal music. There is no narrative in Gilmore's Girls, just a gentle chaos of tones surrounding the languid emotion-less humming of the girls as if staring at a picture of the girls in hallucinating sunshine.

Scordatura was much used by composers for viola d'amore, violin and cello, including . Bach, Biber, Vivaldi, Ariosti, Vilsmayr, and others in compositions for violin during the early 18th century. A special type of notation was used to make it easier to read. This notation was also used to notate music for the viola d'amore, an instrument played and composed for by composers such as Biber and Vivaldi. The viola d'amore used a great number of different tunings and writing music for it in scordatura notation was a natural choice for composers of the time. These were subject to a variety of tunings, such that there is some difficulty establishing which, if any, to consider the standard tuning from which the others deviate.
