The legendary Dynamites from Basel were formed in 1958 by Robert "Röbi" Wittner. On the 5. of January 1963, during a break of a Red Dynamites show at the Safran in Basel, one of the people from the audience came backstage, to ask The Red Dynamites leader Robert Wittner if he could join the band for a session. It was Robert "Robi" Sulzer and he had no band experience yet, but was a big fan of Jerry Lee Lewis and Fats Domino and he had learned to play the piano at school. Sulzer became their piano/organ player and second lead vocalist.

Says Big Daddy; The tradition of playing music from the soul (Ceol Dan Anum in Irish) is much the same overseas as it is here in America and people really tap into that. It's all about reaching people’s primal core with music.

Daddy's Home is the sixth album by emcee, Big Daddy Kane. It is Big Daddy Kane's only album on MCA Records, released in September 13, 1994. Like his previous album Looks Like a Job Fo. Daddy's Home was generally well-received, but lacked in sales.

That's the case with Big Daddy, a typical hodgpodge of covers, oldies, new cuts and dialouge that either promotes the film or inspires fond memories of it, since it surely doesn't hold up as an album of its own. Instead, it's a series of moments, highlighted by the high-profile covers - Sheryl Crow's "Sweet Child O' Mine," Everlast & the White Folx's "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" and Shawn Mullins' "What Is Life.
