The problem with pop-punk is ownership. Who owns the songs? The artists who record them? (Take This To Your Grave was written by Fall Out Boy when they were merely 18 years old) The fans who find so much meaning in the lyrics? Pop-punk fans are amongst the most dedicated, the most connected to the internet and blogosphere, the most ardent and difficult to please. When an artist changes, the backlash can be devastating . Soul Punk is an excellent and musically advanced album. Perhaps, you haven’t listened to it. What about the Truant Wave EP?

As New Wave and college rock, followed by ska, rap, emo and even boy-band aesthetics have made their way into the mix, one feature has remained constant: Pop-punk is for the teens – or at least the young at heart. It’s inherently bratty, angsty-ridden, self-deprecating and generationally divisive. Long before transitioning into bluesy vamp acts the Kills and the Dead Weather, Alison Mosshart reigned as a rambling soprano during her six-year tenure in Discount. The Vero Beach natives made one of the earliest releases on the prolific label Fueled By Ramen and hadn’t even graduated high school when they became a staple of Florida’s pop-punk legacy.
The album sounds great. Thanks a lot. You look like a million bucks. Thank you, thank you very much. is something the matter? You don't know what I'm going through. and hip hop is the wave of the future I mean we don't know for sure.
One of the first releases on the Peaceville label, this was also the first album by England's Electro Hippies. They played an eccentric, hard-to-pin-down style of political crossover punk metal with odd, yelping vocals, at times branched off into proto-grindcore ("Run Ronald," "Scum"), at others veering into classic heavy metal turf, like on the shuffling Sabbath-isms that briefly pop on ". and "Things of Beauty
Grindcore Jesus Crøst.
