Otha Leon Haywood (February 11, 1942 – April 5, 2016) was an American funk and soul singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his 1975 hit single "I Want'a Do Something Freaky to You", which has been much sampled by Dr. Dre and others. Born in Houston, he listened to the blues as a child and started playing piano at the age of three. In his teens, he performed with a local group and worked as an accompanist to blues musician, Guitar Slim.

Bennie Braxton, the band's new organist had weitten a song titled "Sunshine" which Scacy and The Sound Service recorded in1972. It was sampled by Outkast on his tune "Mighty O" in 2006.

Irving (AKA Scacy) started singing when he was 13 years old. He and a few of his NE Washington DC friends began harmonizing on their street corners often until dark just enjoying the sweet sounds of the music they had created. They formed a singing group called the Vells" and started performing at school functions and talent shows. R&B Singer from Washington, DC. Kia made her introduction into the entertainment world while singing with former Washington . group Entyme along with other respected soul artists Geno Young, Sy Smith, and Yahzarah. Kia is a member of the new school RAMP (Roy Ayers Music Production) whose musical contributions provided the world with samples for hits like A Tribe Called Quest's Bonita Applebum, Mary J. Blige's My Life and Erykah Badu's America's Promise.
