Five of these songs- a full third of the album- come from the incredible Cure for Pain; anyone interested in this album as a short road to their best tunes could do a lot worse, but you'd better be served just picking up Cure for Pain itself.

Of course some Morphine chestnuts by Mr. Sandman, done in our own fashion. Our auxiliary drummer Jeff Allison played on two tracks and produced the opening Wind Up Radio. And our dear friend, Malian musician Boubacar Diabaté sings on an alternate version of the track Renouveau/Daman N’Diaye found on the bandcamp extended 24-bit download version; his voice is sampled for the CD version. released August 24, 2016. Morphine was an American alternative rock group formed by Mark Sandman, Dana Colley, and Jerome Deupree in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1989. After five successful albums and extensive touring, they disbanded after lead vocalist Sandman died of a heart attack onstage in Palestrina, Italy, on July 3, 1999. Founding members have reformed into the band Vapors of Morphine, maintaining much of the original style and sound.

The Night is the fifth and final studio album by the alternative rock band Morphine. Jerome Deupree, the band's original drummer who had earlier quit due to health problems, rejoined alongside Billy Conway, thus making The Night Morphine's only album as a quartet rather than a trio

Half Life of Morphine Sulfate. Morphine comes in several forms and formulations including oral, extended release, intramuscular, subcutaneous, rectal, epidural and IV. Morphine sulfate is one such variety. The sulfate component, a chemical salt, makes morphine more soluble in water and easier for the body to absorb outright. The half-life of morphine sulfate is anywhere between two and four hours.

Morphine released their first album, Good, with original drummer Jerome Deupree in the fold, on a tiny local indie label in 1991. It soon attracted enough attention that it was picked up by Rykodisc, a much larger indie with international reach. With Morphine's slim recorded legacy (five studio albums, a B-sides compilation and a live set) almost evenly divided between two labels, neither of whom wanted to help the band or each other, it seemed with every passing year that Mark Sandman was in danger of being forgotten entirely. If you ask me, the nadir came in 2007, when Hi-N-Dry studios had to move out of Sandman's loft in Cambridge, Massachusetts and relocate.
