Brandon Evans (b. 1972) is a composer, t (woodwinds) who has performed and recorded extensively with Anthony Braxton, Sonny Simmons, Johnny Coles, Andre Vida, Jackson Moore, Chris Matthay, Kenny Washington, Mike Pride, Kevin Norton, Martin Van Duynhoven, Taylor Ho Bynum, and many other great contemporary jazz, creative musicians.

BRANDON EVANS is a avant-garde jazz music artist. New York-based t Brandon Evans was born in San Francisco in 1972. He began playing music as a teenager while a student at the San Francisco Art Institute, and later began studying and performing with jazz saxophonist Sonny Simmons. Eventually, Evans relocated to Connecticut to study composition with Anthony Braxton at Wesleyan University.

Runnin' Down a Dream" is a song co-written and recorded by Tom Petty. It was released in July, 1989 as the second single from his first solo album Full Moon Fever. Runnin' Down a Dream" achieved reasonable chart success, reaching number 23 both in Canada and on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the top of the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart. It has since garnered significant airplay on classic rock stations, and lent its name to the 2007 documentary on Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
