Jeffrey Ericson Allen is an Oregonian composer, cellist and electronic music recording artist. He has an eclectic background in classical, new acoustic and theatrical music production. Chronotope Project represents his most recent expression as a creator of progressive ambient music. His music has been heard on "Hearts of Space," "Echoes," "Star's End," "Galactic Travels" and "Ultima Thule.

Each of the nine tracks has a strong sense of gravimetric pull toward a central motif, which enters the soundfield, evolves with the structure, then dissolves back into silence. Dharma Rain is a triptych representing the mature style of Chronotope Project, creator of sensuous ambient music. Influenced by classical, world music, New Age and Berlin School electronic music, it is a unique blend of atmospheric and lyrical elements. Genre: Electronic: Ambient. Dharma Rain" is the fourth allbum by Chronotope Project and the first issued under the artist's own "Udana Music" label ("Udana" is a Sanskit word meaning "inspired utterances"). The three-track album continues and extends the style cultivated in previous releases, layering scintillating electronic sequences, lush atomospheric pads, gently percolating percussion and long lyrical melodic lines into an integral whole.

Jeffrey Ericson Allen is a composer, cellist and electronic music producer, creator of contemplative art music. In many respects, this piece encapsulates the entire recording, and an astute listener can identify motifs from other pieces on the album, which are finally brought together in one place.
