The rambling and incoherence no doubt cheered on as insight by SST label honcho and avant-garde guitar wrangler Greg Ginn, Baiza's solo debut is more like the improvised tunefulness of Saccharine Trust. The difference being that most Saccharine Trust records are better then this one, which suffers from too much excess and a dearth of ideas.

Joe Baiza (born January 11, 1952) is a punk rock and jazz guitarist whom Eugene Chadbourne cites as one of the most noteworthy guitarists to emerge from the Southern California punk rock milieu. Baiza is a founding member of the bands Saccharine Trust, Universal Congress Of, and The Mecolodiacs. He also performed guest guitar spots on several Minutemen tracks and played alongside Black Flag's Greg Ginn and Chuck Dukowski in the SST all-star jam band October Faction, recording two albums with them
Universal Congress Of are an American jazz ensemble from Los Angeles, formed in 1986. The project was started by Joe Baiza and continued to develop his own fusion of free jazz and punk rock after his previous band, Saccharine Trust, went on hiatus In an issue of Mountain Bike, bassist Tim Commerford of Rage Against the Machine spoke of his admiration of the band's funky and jazz tinged style.
