Virgin Classics' two-disc SACD collection of arias, scenes, and songs from Natalie Dessay's complete opera recordings and recital CDs is notable for its variety and contains some rarities, such as excerpts from Meyerbeer's Le pardon de Ploërmel and Offenbach's Robinson Crusoë, as well as standard repertoire.

Le Miracle D'une Voix. You can make changes to the tracklist directly on MusicBrainz. Enter the url below of the most international release on MusicBrainz. Dessay's light and silvery coloratura is remarkably secure throughout her range and is especially brilliant in the stratospheric reaches, an attribute that makes her "Bell Song" from Lakmé and Olympia's song from Les Contes d'Hoffmann truly spectacular. Her performance of Pamina's "Ach! Ich fühl's," is deeply emotional and is as persuasive as the Queen of the Night's "Der Hölle Rache.

Natalie Dessay (French: ; born 19 April 1965) is a French singer and actress who had a highly acclaimed career as an operatic coloratura soprano before leaving the opera stage on 15 October 2013. She received wide acclaim in roles such as Olympia in Les contes d'Hoffmann, the title role in Lakmé, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos and the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte.

Her 2-CD and DVD compilations Le Miracle d’une voix have proved an enormous success, selling over 250,000 copies, each documenting her prowess as a singer and as an actress. Further to this autumn’s releases of La sonnambula, Massenet’s Manon on DVD and, with Emmanuelle Haïm & Le Concert d’Astrée, Bach’s Magnificat & Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Natalie Dessay will release this coming winter a recital album of Italian Opera Arias by Bellini, Donizetti and Verdi with the Concerto Köln, under the direction of Evelino Pidò.

Le miracle d’une voix. Natalie Dessay is now the toast of the town for her scorching Marie in Covent Garden’s La Fille du Régiment. But this dazzlingly gifted lyric soprano has been wowing audiences worldwide for more than a decade: time enough for Virgin Classics to offer two retrospective collections, one on CD (Natalie Dessay: The Miracle of the Voice), one on DVD (Natalie Dessay: Le miracle d’une voix)
