For the first time on a Beatles album, the front cover contained neither the group's name nor the album title just that iconic photograph taken on the zebra crossing near the entrance to the studios in London NW8 in August 1969. Abbey Road entered the British album chart at n. in October and stayed there for a total of seventeen of its 81 weeks in the chart. Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by English rock band the Beatles, released on 26 September 1969 by Apple Records. The recording sessions for the album were the last in which all four Beatles participated. Although Let It Be was the final album that the Beatles completed before the band's dissolution in April 1970, most of the album had been recorded before the Abbey Road sessions began.
It would be a mistake not to. I just visited my brother in Louisville and went to Abbey Road on the River over Memorial Day Weekend. The festival is held across the river from Louisville, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. There is a walking bridge across the river that a lot of people take.
Behind the Beatles is a fifth one of sorts. During the Paul is Dead conspiracy, it was believed that the car’s license plate was a clue that McCartney had died.
