A comprehensive collection by the early-'50s' Larks, who are considered one of the top doo wop groups of all time. Westside Records didn't leave any significant tracks off this compilation of songs recorded during the two-year span the group was together. They were issued, however, over a five-year period, from 1950 to 1955, by Apollo and Lloyd Records.

The Larks were an African American vocal group, active in the early 1950s. They were not the same group as the Los Angeles-based Larks (originally The Meadowlarks) featuring Don Julian. Eugene "Gene" Mumford (June 24, 1925 - May 29, 1977) (tenor, lead). Allen (or Alden) Bunn (known later as Tarheel Slim) (September 24, 1923 – August 21, 1977) (baritone, lead, guitar). Thermon (or Thurmon) Ruth (known later as T. Ruth) (March 6, 1914 – September 13, 2002) (baritone, lead).

The Larks (3). My Reverie - The Best Of The Larks - Volume One ‎(LP, Comp).

Probably the best progressive album of all time. 3 Larks' Tongues In Aspic. Every song on this album is brilliant being devided into two pieces at the beginning and the end of the album Unifies the entire project to one cohesive listen. This album unifies everything that makes the band great. Starting at deep lyrics to the dark raw progressive sound, not to mention the powerful instrumental passages, making this album one complete peace that deserves to be listened to. Absolutely amazing. Every Song is fantastic especially Exiles
